Bio
Marta Gherardini received her Bsc degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Pisa in 2015. She was then enrolled in the Msc in Bionics Engineering, jointly offered by the University of Pisa and Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies. She ended the master studies with a six-month internship at the University College of London, working on her master thesis project about medical image processing through Deep Learning techniques. She started her PhD in Biorobotics at Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in 2018, during which she was involved in an ERC project investigating innovative interfaces for the control of hand prostheses. As part of her PhD she spent two months as visiting scientist at the Medical University of Vienna. After defending her PhD in July 2022 and two years of Post-Doc, she is currently a Researcher at Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies.
