I’m an assistant professor at Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, in the LAMPSE group. Here I work in the translation of innovative technologies, from the lab to real life, with applications in neuroscience. One of my main research interests is the development of seamless tattoo-based wearable devices for biomonitoring. Another core activity, performed in collaboration with INRIA (Sophia Antipolis, France), is the understanding of emotions through multimodal heterogeneous data, including physiological signals and video. I am working on the development of a wearable device for stress identification; such an approach can be exploited to prevent challenging behaviors in subjects with autism.
My aim is to develop novel methods to improve the quality of life of people, by advancing the state-of-the-art. My attitude is extremely multidisciplinary, bridging together data science, material science, and engineering
