Global Governance, Rule of Law and Sustainability Transitions
This research area engages with three inter-related subjects: the evolving relevance of global governance, the new frontiers of the rule of law in the regional/transnational horizon, and the multidimensional processes of sustainability transitions. Each subject raises theoretical, normative, regulatory and positive law challenges. We deal with the legal construction of sustainability at large: as encompassing environmental protection, agri-food, environmental law as well as capturing the transformative features of public/private regulation, and tackling legal orders' weaving in the interlegal arenas, European and Global.
