Bio

I had my M.Sc. degree in Plant and Microbial Biotechnologies (honors) in 2024, my master thesis was about the development a innovative Lab-on-a-chip to investigate entomopathogenic nematodes responsens to organic stimuli enhancing their employment as biological control agents. Currently I'm a first year PhD Student in the Bio-Robotic Ecosystems Lab at Biorobotic Institute. My activities primarily involve studying arthropod behavior using innovative technologies and bioinspired approaches, conducting ecotoxicological studies on green pesticides, and exploring fields such as ethorobotics, animal-robot interaction, and bioinspired environmental sensors. I also work on employing microfluidic platforms for biological assayss. My PhD project is mailnly focused on eusocial insects as ants and bees to get deeper knowlefge about their commmunication systems and their interction ewith biotic and abiotic stimuli. The main milestones of my research include: sustainable environmental management, developing bioinspired systems to support environmental protection, investigating the ecotoxicological impacts of pesticides and biopesticides on target and non-target species to better understand their potential implications for human health.

Ricerca

Currently my main activity is represented by SENSORBEES Project, project name:HORIZON-EIC-2023-PATHFINDEROPEN-01, SENSORBEES “Sensorbees are ENhanced Self-ORganizing Bio-hybrids for Ecological and Environmental Surveillance”, (2024-2029)
