Bio
Sabina Nuti is the Rector of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna for the 2019 - 2025 term. Her program is characterized by a constant focus on the issues of social mobility, the enhancement of merit, and the increasingly international - yet close to the territory - dimension of training, research and "third mission" activities to bring impact on society. Sabina Nuti is Full Professor of Economics and Business Management and founder of the Management and Healthcare Laboratory (MeS Laboratory) of the Institute of Management. She is scientific manager of the Performance Evaluation System of Regional Health Systems for the network of the Regions of Tuscany, Basilicata, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Liguria, Lombardy, Marche, Piedmont, Autonomous Province of Bolzano, Autonomous Province of Trento, Puglia, Umbria, and Veneto.
Since 2016 she has been a member of the Expert Panel on Effective Ways of Investing in Health of the European Commission. Since 2019 she has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Istituto Superiore di Sanità. She has been the Italian representative at European Innovation Council and European Innovation Ecosystems of the European Commission. She was a member of the Scientific Committee of Pne (National Program for Outcomes Evaluation) established at Agenas (Health Agency for National Health Services).
She is responsible for national and international research projects and author of numerous scientific publications on the topic of evaluation and organization of public health services. She is on the Editorial Board of the journal Health, Economics, Policy and Law (Cambridge University Press); she is a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the Bureau of Health Information (Australian government body for measuring health care performance in New South Wales). She has been a Visiting Professor of Health Management at the University of Toronto.
