Last days to compete for the Premio Quaglia, aimed at scholars of Agricultural Entomology. Applications by 7 October
These are the last days to apply for the 3,000 euro Premio Quaglia announced by the Center of Plant Science of the Sant'Anna School. The Prize is open to young scholars under the age of 35 who have obtained their PhD from 2021, discussing a thesis in Agricultural Entomology on the subject of olive-growing, and who have published at least one scientific article in an international journal on olive tree phytophagous pests.
The Doctoral Prize was created to commemorate the figure of Prof. Fabio Quaglia, former professor of Agricultural Entomology at the Sant'Anna School, and will be awarded on the occasion of the "Agricultural Entomology Study Day" organised by the Plant Sciences Research Centre, in collaboration with the Department of Agricultural, Food and Agro-Environmental Sciences of the University of Pisa, to be held on 20 October 2023 in the Aula Magna of the Sant'Anna School.
