EU’s HORIZON 2020: SANT’ANNA SCHOOL FACULTY CLAIMS TOP RANKING FOR EUROPEAN COMMISSION FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTION TO SUPPORT RESEARCH PROJECTS

Sant’Anna School faculty has been ranked number one in Italy for the Horizon 2020 funding program. Sant’Anna School researchers contributed to 39 projects that have received nearly €15 million (€ 14.764.256, 96) in direct financial support from the European Commission.

According to the July 2018 report provided by Aster, an association for research and industrial innovation (Bologna-Emilia Romagna), the success rate of Italian Universities (since 2014, 77 Italian institutions have received 740,3 million, 30 per cent of 2.5 billion in total funding) reflects the high quality of our scientists’ work.

Each faculty member of Sant’Anna School received the highest average amount of 121.217,22, euro financial aid. Università Bocconi and Politecnico di Milano were ranked second and third. Sant’Anna school is responsible for the management of 9 major projects covering research areas in the fields of biorobotics, sustainable and inclusive growth, water resource management.
