Authorship and Power in the Generative AI Ecosystem
The Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies hosts the event “Authorship and Power in the Generative AI Ecosystem”, scheduled from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm in Room 6.
The meeting is dedicated to the presentation of the volume Copyright and Patent Laws for the Age of Artificial Intelligence. Authorship and Inventorship Revisited (Hart, 2025) by Eva Janeckova, which offers an in depth analysis of the ongoing transformations in the concepts of authorship and inventorship in light of the development of generative artificial intelligence.
The event will be introduced by Caterina Sganga, Professor of Comparative Private Law at the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies. It will feature contributions from Eva Janeckova, Lecturer in Law at the University of Bristol Law School, who will address the human aspects of creation within European Union copyright law, and Laura Zoboli, Assistant Professor in Tech Law at IE University in Madrid, who will explore issues of market power and competition enforcement in the generative AI ecosystem.
The discussion will also include Camilla Signoretta and Pelin Turan, Postdoctoral Researchers at the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies.
